Woodlands Wildlife Refuge is hosting Wild Fest, a food truck and music festival from noon to 6 p.m. on June 23 at Clinton Elks Lodge 2434 in Pittstown.

The refuge is a wildlife rehabilitation facility that cares for orphaned and injured native wildlife with the goal of returning them back to their natural habitat. The center also provides educational programming.

There will be food trucks including Cas’ Pierogi & Kielbasa, Cubano X-press, VEGANISH, Ice Cream Creations, Summer Daze, Joanie’s Diner, and Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food Truck, and live entertainment from bands like Raccoon Ridge Ramblers, Tommy Strazza & The Model Citizens, Joe Stuby & Rocking Horse, Joe Cirotti Trio, and Black Cross Band, according to the refuge.

Wild Fest will include face painting, balloon animals, fairy hair, giant bubbles, a pond for fishing (bring your rods) and lawn games. Other activities include animal mascots, giant bubbles and a 50/50 and a door prize contest.

“Woodlands Wildlife Refuge receives no state or federal funding and relies completely on the generosity of others,” Executive Director Tracy Leaver said. “So far this year Woodlands has already cared for over 1,100 animals and this is increasing every day. Wild Fest is a wonderful way to support local businesses and bring our wonderful community of supporters together."
Admission is $10 while there is no admission charge for children under the age of 12. Pets are not allowed.
