Hunterdon Art Museum hosts Young Adults in Art Event

The Hunterdon Art Museum will host its third Young Adults in Art Event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 22.

The event will be hosted by Julie Swenson and is free to attend, according to a news release. It is sponsored by The Cestone Family Foundation.

The event is reserved for those aged 13 to 18, and there is no cost to attend. Registration can be done online.

“We are thrilled to offer the Creating Space for Young Adults in Art workshop, which provides a unique platform for teens to engage with contemporary art in meaningful ways,” Director of Education & Community Engagement for the Hunterdon Art Museum Donna de Ville said. “Under the expert guidance of Art Educator Julie Swenson, participants will not only explore significant social issues through gallery discussions and hands-on activities but also build a sense of community and foster dynamic conversations.

“This workshop series is a testament to the power of art in education and its ability to inspire and challenge young minds. We are deeply grateful to The Cestone Family Foundation for their generous support, which makes this impactful program possible.”
