Hunterdon County Summer Concert Series begins with ‘Forces of Nature’

The Hunterdon County Parks and Recreation Department has announced the lineup for the Hunterdon County Summer Concert Series.

The concerts will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Deer Path Park in Readington Township, according to a news release.

On June 27, the Hunterdon Symphony will perform “Forces of Nature” a “dual musical themes of ‘Out to Sea’ and ‘Thunder and Lightning on Land’ collide perfectly to create a program of works perfect for a summer evening in the park,” according to Hunterdon’s Parks and Recreation Department’s website.

Billy Joel tribute band, Captain Jack, will perform on July 11. The next weekend, on July 18, the Best Of The Eagles tribute band will take the stage.

​

Jake’s Rockin’ Country Band, will perform on July 25. The band covers current artists like Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert and old-school stars like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Merle Haggard.

On July 27 from 10 a.m. to noon, a Disney cover band Beauty & The Beasts will perform an ultimate Fairytale Show!

​

The Hunterdon Choral Alliance will take the stage on Aug. 1. The alliance has over 70 singers and performs pop hits from the radio and the stage. Also performing will be The Hunterdon Harmonizers, which continue to deliver their big sound in the traditional barbershop style.

​

On Aug. 8, the cover band The Nerds will perform.
